Objective
I would like to find a position where I can create mindblowingly awesome interactive experiences for users. I'm a creative first, developer second, so I need the kind of environment where my creativity can thrive. While I prefer the open pastures of creative agencies, I'm just as comfortable living out my days in the cube farm, however I'd prefer the kind of atmosphere where jeans and a t-shirt aren't frowned upon.

Christine Hamm, Integrated Project Manager, Crispin Porter + Bogusky
"If everybody were as easy to work with as Jeremy, the world would be a simpler, more efficient place."

Professional Projects
IBM Reference Hub - http://ibmreferencehub.com
I was given the task of creating an online tool to help customers create, edit and share videos with other individuals at IBM. I designed and developed the entire project from the ground up, and with the help of two of my co-workers, we created an incredibly robust video tool. This project was written in ActionScript with a PHP and JavaScript bridge that helps manage data between the front end and an proprietary backend that I completely wrote from scratch. Additional features are a FFMPEG video compressor on the backend and leveraging a Flash Streaming Media Server for video delivery to multiple devices.
IBM Invitation Central - http://ibmreferencehub.com/invite
I was approached to develop an "eVite clone" by my client at IBM. From the ground up, I created a complete invite system that was originally intended to send out 10-20 invitations a day, but instead has grown to a 1400 invite a day system. Strong PHP backend is supported on the front end by a jQuery developed interface with loads of custom scripts and plugins. An extremely flexible service, this has been one of my most successful individual projects with over 2,000 daily users.
IBM C-Suite Mobile Widget - http://ibmsellers.com
I was asked to convert a desktop "widget" to a mobile website that would be accessible on multiple platforms. Leveraging the existing database, I reprogrammed the widget to be mobile web accessible using the jQuery Mobile Framework with a custom Blackberry script for older devices.
IBM Rational Video Player - http://centerlinebeta.net/3266/
This started out as an HTML5 video project, which sadly, fell back to a Flash Video project. Undetered, I kept the majority of the HTML5 navigation elements and kept the fallback Flash video player. If ever they decide to use the HTML5 capability, all that's required is a simple swap.
Military Reconnector Facebook App - http://militaryreconnector.com
I was approached by a client to create a Facebook application that would help current and former military members connect with other military members. You can read more about this project on the RTI blog.
Volkswagen Website - http://vw.com
The current version of the site has remained largely unchanged since I last worked on it. Unfortunately, some of the choice examples of projects I have worked on have long been erased from existence. I have a majority of these backed up on CD, which I'd be more than willing to show you. As for the current version of the site, I was part of the update to convert the site from a Flash-based version to a more modern javaScript based site. There is literally no section of this site that I didn't touch at some point during my time with Compuware and Crispin Porter + Bogusky.
The Pit Mobile Website - http://thepit-raleigh.com/mobile
Make sure you visit this on your mobile device for the best viewing! There are plenty of mobile bells and whistles here. An integrated Twitter feed, geolocation based directions and awesome phone integration features. Written with jQuery mobile and some custom javaScript to interface with various APIs.
Personal Projects
Zombie Elf Apocalypse - http://lifeindaburbs.com/elfapocalypse
As an interactive Christmas gift to my friends, I designed and built this game over a weekend. I think the coolest part of this project was working with particle physics for the snow. I probably spent more time on that than anything else, which just shows how obsessive over details I am. The game itself was built on a Flash platform and integrates social media sharing on the backend. I keep meaning to get around to a sequel, perhaps this winter.
Ron Swanson Eats Here - http://ronswansoneatshere.com
I started this blog to chronicle the culinary greatness of Ron Swanson from the television show Parks and Recreation. I'm using Wordpress and hacked a template for the design. Nothing fancy, but it does get a steady stream of visitors.
Urkeling.com - http://urkeling.com
I don't have many brilliant ideas, and this is proof of that. With the fads of planking, tebowing and pretty much anything else ending in -ing, I decided to jump on the bandwagon with my own entry, Urkeling. Wordpress site with lots of custom plugins that I built for form submission. This site pairs well with it's social media counterpart, @stevenUrkel. You can read more about this project over on my blog.
